So if your Mod and tank are Sub-oHm compatible, taking a draw should be extremely easy and you will not need to inhale hard while using the Mod. Just like any other jargon or lingo these terms may prove to be annoying if you wait to learn about the real meaning of these phrases. So, without wasting any further time, let’s find out what these terms stand for and what is their significance. RDA stands for “rebuildable dripping atomizer,” that is also referred to as “dripper” in the vaping world. Simply put, and RDA is an atomizer that you can build as per your own specifications to personalize your vaping experience. An RDA unit consist of a deck, coils and wicks. While the deck serves as a platform for the coil where its positive and negative ends are connected, the coil itself and the wick hold all the e-liquid or e-juice. There is no tank to hold any extra juice or e-liquid. However, in some RDAs there is a pit inside the deck of the dripper that can hold some extra juice. An RDA produces great vapor quality as this system drips directly onto the atomizer. A fully saturated wick can produce as many as 20 draws depending on the wicking material used and the resistance levels. RBA just stands for “rebuildable atomizer,” and is also known as RTA, or “rebuildable tank atomizer.” These have decks to rebuild on just like drippers, but also have a tank section to hold extra liquid. When built and filled, an RTA will function just like a clearomizer and allows you to enjoy multiple vaping sessions without having to refill. Temperature Control Mods FAQ
Most Vape Mods has adjustable wattage, some even have up to 200 watts of power. That is cool but in reality, that does not mean that the temperature in the coil stays consistent to the duration of the draw, and the temperature is likely to increase while you are pressing the button and taking a long draw. With a TC Vape Mod, you can set the desired temperature, and the Mod’s microprocessor will make the necessary adjustment in the wattage supply to the coil, to ensure a consistent temperature (usually visible on an LCD screen). So instead of setting the Mod on 25 watts, you set it on say, 450 degrees, and that where it stays. That ensures smooth and cool Vapor, and no “burn hits” ever again. Yes, but you will not get the Temperature Control functionality. If you would like to have the ability to control the temperature, you will need a temperature control liquid tank. Meaning the connection is the same 510 thread, so every tank will be able to connect to such mod, but the TC Tank has sensors and other components that will actually control the temperature. More and more high-end mod manufacturers are doing the Temperature Control a default on their products.
That’s is a valid question- If Temperature Control Mods have a consistent temperature in the coil, where does the wattage come into play? The answer is, that most noticeably the extra wattage will show in the speed of getting to the desired temperature, and in the consistency of staying there. Just like it will feel better to cruise on 80 mph on a Porsche rather than on a Kia. although both can do it.

With non-TC Mods, the battery sends high wattage to the coil for as long as you hold the button. This burns more liquid, but does not give you more Vapor. With a Temp Control Mod, the wattage drops after the first second to the exact amount in order to sustain temperature. So after a few seconds of drawing, the wattage might drop from 50w initially, to 10w. That will preserve e-Juice, and will make for a more enjoyable experience.

e-Liquid / e-Juice / Vape Juice

In simple terms PG stands for Propylene Glycol and VG is for Vegetable Glycerin. Both the ingredients are an integral part of any e-liquid. These substances act as a base mixture to achieve the kind of vapor and flavor one is looking for. In terms of usability, both the substances have been classified as “GRAS” (Generally Regarded as Safe) by the FDA. PG/VG are extensively used in foodstuffs, medicines, toiletries, toothpastes, soaps and cosmetics. PG serves as an ideal base of mixing as it is a very thin liquid and is great for carrying flavors. The thinness of the PG decreases further when nicotine and flavors are added to it. So, the vapor produced by such e-liquids is generally very less, but he flavor is great. If you are using a PG rich e-liquid, standard tanks like the Aspire Tank, iClear and Kanger Protank can give great performance. In terms of sensitivity, not many people face any problem with PG. So, a majority of people can vape on e-liquids high on PG. Vegetable Glycol (VG) on the other hand is thicker and a bit on the sweeter side. As a result it produces thick clouds of vapor that are clearly visible to the eye. However, the thickness of the VG may result in clogging of your vaporizer. So, it is advisable to keep the VG part in check, especially if your are mixing your own e-liquid. Also, the VG based e-liquids are not recommended for regular tanks. Such e-liquids give great performance with drippers and subtnaks. Another drawback of using too much of VG in a mixture is that its sweetness may dampen the throat hits and can also alter the flavor. You have to decide on the proportion of PG/VG depending on the kind of throat hit, flavor and vapor quantity you are looking for. More importantly, the kind of tank you are using in your vaporizer also has an effect on the ratio of PG/VG. If you are using a standard device the percentage of VG should not exceed 20%. Otherwise you will lose the taste and your device may clog every easily. But if you are using a subohm tank you may use VG up to 80%. To make the e-liquids compatible with both standard and subohm tanks, most of the manufacturers of premium e-liquids use a 50/50 mix of PG and VG.
Though a majority of premium e-liquids use a 50/50 mix of PG and VG, there is no such thing as the ideal ratio. Depending of the kind of vaporizer you are using and the quality of vapor you want to generate, your can choose your own PG/VG mix. However, before creating a mix you should keep in mind that too much of PG will reduce vapor production and excess of VG may result in clogging of your tank or atomizer.
What does it mean when one says “steeping the e-liquid”?
Steeping of an e-liquid is all about producing optimum taste from it. Mix your e-liquid, try it and if your find it good enough, leave it for a day or two for steeping. After an interval of three days you will get optimum flavor and aroma from the e-liquid.
