What is Vaping?

How do I start vaping?

Is vaping safe?

What’s a throat hit?

A throat hit is that feeling a tobacco cigarette smoker gets from inhaling a cigarette. Some vapers enjoy this feeling and want to simulate it when they vape. On the other hand, there are others who don’t and want to get less of that feeling while vaping.

What is an atomizer?

Atomizers contain coils that are battery-powered. These coils heat up and begin to warm the e-liquids in the vape. Once the liquid reaches its vaporization point, the liquid then turns into vapor which you inhale.

What is a cartomizer?

To put it simply, cartomizers function in much the same way as atomizers and clearomizers. They have both a tank and coil which stores and heats up e-liquids. However, these are usually found on older, poorly made electronic cigarettes and are meant to be for one-time use.

What’s a box mod?

A box mod is a vaporizer that looks like a box (to put it literally). The great thing about box mods is that they usually contain a larger vape battery making them last long and you can easily customize the parts on box mods.

Is vaping on planes allowed?

While it is not illegal to vape while on a plane, many airlines prohibit the use of vaporizers. The reason why is because passengers might complain about the vapor and it can cause a panic. Why? Because some passengers might mistake it for smoke.

Can you get high from vaping?

It depends on the material you are using to vape. If you are only using a vape pen with e-liquids that contain nicotine (or not), then no. However, if you use a vaporizer for dry herbs or concentrates, then yes you can.

Are there any companies I should avoid?

For now, there is no right or wrong answer. If anything, go with your gut instinct. On the other hand, it is possible to advise against buying from companies that sell ‘cigalike’ products. These are usually cheaply made and do not provide a satisfying vaping experience.

What are PG or VG e-liquids?

They are e-liquids that contain different chemicals depending on what vaping experience you want. PG contains propylene glycol while VG contains vegetable glycerin or glycerol. If you are looking for getting little vapor, but a strong throat hit, then you would use PG based liquids. If you want a lot of vapor but a sweeter, smoother hit, then VGs are the way to go.

What is a drip tip?

Drip tip refers to the mouthpiece found on vaporizers.

How old do you have to be to vape?

You have to be the same age or older as someone who can purchase tobacco cigarettes (18+).

What flavor liquids are available for vaping?

Cigalikes refer to the very first generation of vaporizers that were produced that look similar to a cigarette.

This mostly depends on the type of vaporizer you purchase. Some offer superb battery life while others lack. Overall, battery life is excellent, and you can expect to get around 4-6 sessions.

What’s the difference between desktop and portable vaporizers?

Quite a few. However, I won’t go into too much detail. Here are the basics:Desktop vaporizers are larger and more expensive vaporizers. They mostly use dry herbs and are stronger than portable vapes. Also, they require you to plug them into a wall outlet.Portable vaporizers are smaller and less expensive. Some are dual use, and they still pack a punch when vaping. They are usually battery-powered, and you can take them with you on the go.

Are grinders necessary when vaping?

No, but they are recommended. You can break up your tobacco or dry herbs using your fingers or other tools.However, to get the consistency that is best for vaporizers, it’s recommended that you invest in a good grinder. Some are relatively cheap, and almost all of them are easy to use. There are quite a few to choose from depending on how fine you want your herbs and other features that you look for.
