The new Plus maintains the thickness of its predecessor but stands a bit taller. It swaps out the previous version’s metallic finish for a matte metal alloy body, offering a subtler, more understated aesthetic. This Onyx version, along with a Pearl option, provides some choice in style.

The battery is pretty standard, featuring a single activation button and is 510 compatible, meaning it can pair with any 510 cartridge. While the Plus is primarily a dab pen, the versatility here is a nice touch. The battery alone is available for purchase for about $50.
Atop the battery sits the chamber with a silicon grip to protect your fingers from heat. The bowl mirrors the previous model with a coil-less ceramic design, which generally means softer vapor and easier cleaning. Small amounts of wax are recommended to prevent it from reaching the air holes, especially when the pen is tilted during use.
The mouthpiece includes a built-in ‘dart’ that can be extended for loading concentrate and then retracted to deposit it directly onto the coil. This design prevents wax from sticking to the chamber’s sides and ensures it lands at the bottom center for optimal heating.
It takes five clicks to unlock and four clicks to cycle through the three temperature settings. The manual mode allows for pulsing the button during inhalation for more controlled heating, while the sess mode caters to those who prefer a more intense, high-temperature experience.
The vapor quality of the new Plus remains on par with the original, which is to say, it’s quite good. The small tweaks Puffco has introduced with the new Plus enhance the overall experience.
The charging system is a letdown. The Plus uses a 510 charger with a USB-A plug, which feels outdated. A USB-C would have been more convenient and universal.
